Giants Fall 9-5 To Portland

The Vancouver Giants came up short in a Friday night goal-fest, falling 9-5 to the Portland Winterhawks.  Trevor Cheek had two goals and an assist for the Giants who are now 5-12 on the season.  Carter Popoff, Marek Tvrdon and Anthony Ast each had a goal for Vancouver as well. 
Nicolas Petan put up four points for the Winterhawks, scoring two goals and adding two assists. 
Giants goalie Payton Lee allowed five goals on 19 shots before getting pulled in the second period.  His replacement,Tyler Fuhr, allowed four goals on 25 shots in 33 minutes of game time.
