History awaits the Vancouver Whitecaps, and after an eighteen day hiatus due to World Cup Qualification games, the Caps are ready to finally take a run at the MLS playoffs with a win over Portland on Sunday at BC Place.

Caps Captain Jay Demerit, sporting a playoff mullet to bring extra luck to his team as they make a run to the post season, understands that the Caps can make history, but thinking about the game as only a game is more important.

Midfielder Barry Robson is also looking forward to returning to the pitch, and likes the fact that the break has allowed his team to get healthy at the right time of the year…playoff time.

With a win over Portland, the Vancouver Whitecaps would not only clinch a playoff berth in their second season of MLS play, but become the first Canadian side to accomplish the feat.

Vancouver and Portland kick off from BC place at 4 PM on Sunday.
