Returning to their home after a 38 day absence, the Vancouver Whitecaps returned home to earn a 2-2 draw against the Colorado Rapids before 18922 at BC Place.

The Rapids carried the play in the opening half and took the lead in the 34th minute as Omar Cummings jammed home a shot off the Whitecaps post to give Colorado the lead.

Colorado would carry the lead into the 64th minute until Alain Rochat would equalize flicking home a Gershon Koffie cross and scoring the Caps first goal in nearly two full games.

Just four minutes later, lightning would strike again for the Caps as Barry Robson was able to find Kenny Miller on a run and behind cover.  Miller would finish and within a five minute window the Whitecaps turned despair into delirium at BC Place.

However, as has been a bad habit for the Caps this season, they were unable to hold a lead.  Vancouver's back line didnt take command of a loose ball, allowing Colorado's Jamie Smith to capitalize.  Smith would score in the 86th minute to take three points off the table for Vancouver.

With the draw, the Caps pick up their first point in six matches and move two points clear of FC Dallas with four games to play.  Next up for Vancouver, a big game versus the Seattle Sounders at BC Place next Saturday.  First kick will be at 6 PM.
