Vancouver Police have released a video of the last moments of a well known homeless man's life.

Thomas Sawyer was found March 7th by a passerby in an alley behind 928 Richards Street.

Video was taken from a surveillance camera in the alley.

At one point, Sawyer walks by holding some flowers, then a car is seen driving in the opposite direction.

Later two men walk in and out of the alley.

Four minutes after they leave, the 911 call was made.

Sawyer died from internal injuries, but it's not clear what caused them.

The video does not show how he sustained them.

The VPD's collision section is on the case.

But police can't say if the injuries are consistant with a hit and run.
