Telus service restored in Surrey
METRO VANCOUVER/CKNW AM 980

3/9/2010

Telus has restored phone and internet service to about one thousand customers in Surrey after a cable theft early yesterday morning.

Thieves cut through and removed about 60 metres of thick copper cable from a Telus site in the 121 hundred block of 104th avenue.

A length of fibre optic cable cable was also cut, but not taken.

RCMP and Telus security are asking anyone who witnessed suspicious activity at the site to contact police.
