With the Olympics just 22 days away, a new online poll has found British Columbians are far more skeptical about the benefits of the games, compared to the rest of the country.

While 73 percent of the respondents to the Angus Reid online poll think the Winter Olympics will have a positive impact on Canada, here in B-C, that figure is just 50 per-cent.

And that's down from last November when a similar poll by Angus Reid found 57 per-cent of BC residents expected the games to benefit the province.

When it comes to anti-Olympic protestors, 15 per-cent support them nationally but that figure is 30 per-cent here in BC.
