Everyone in Duncan forced out of their homes by flooding can now go home.

Over 300 homes were evacuated Friday after rivers burst their banks following heavy rain.

Solicitor General Kash Heed says the province and local officials are trying to clear log jams on the rivers.

They'll also be on hand to help people get disaster funding.

"We're going to have staff there to guide people through the disaster financial assistance program to make it as easy as possible for them to get into the program," says Heed.

Meanwhile, B.C. Environment Minister Barry Penner says the worst of the weather appears to be over, for now, "But looking out again into the next week, it's possible we could see rising freezing levels again and more rain coming. So we just have to stay on guard and pay attention to those forecasts."

A state of emergency is still in place around Duncan.
