The City of Winnipeg is moving forward with an external review of it's Public Works Department.
Finance Committee Chair Scott Fielding stopped short of calling the department bloated, but said he felt there were ways it could run more efficiently.
Fielding says the city hopes to award the contract for the review to an auditing company by September and start reviewing findings by the Fall.
He said it was too early to speculate on any cuts that could be made.
