CJOB News Team reporting

A boat, carrying three adults and an eight-year-old child on Lake Winnipeg, has been found and all aboard are O-K..
RCMP were notified late Thursday night the boat from Poplar River had not arrived at its destination in Norway House at the expected time. Early Friday evening a Royal Canadian Air Force Hercules Search and Rescue aircraft located the overdue boaters. A radio was dropped to their location. A boat involved in the search was redirected and all passengers boarded the rescue boat from Poplar River. They were going back to the community to be checked out at the Nursing Station. Indications are the boaters had mechanical difficulties. The RCMP Poplar River would like to thank the Rescue Coordination Centre in Trenton, the Royal Canadian Air Force Hercules Search and Rescue aircraft crew, the Canadian Coast Guard, the Manitoba Conservation and Water Stewardship for the use of a helicopter, the RCMP Search and Rescue Team for the guidance and the many civilian volunteers involved in the search and rescue efforts.
