CJOB News Team reporting
Manitoba Hydro says about 12-hundred customers are without power right now, as crews work to replace a hydro pole that was damaged in a motor-vehicle collision last night in East Kildonan at Gateway and Riverton. The pole had to be replaced, and crews had to take several feeder lines out of service to make that happen. The power outage began around 2 this afternoon, with service expected to be restored around 8 o'clock tonight. Some traffic signals are also affected, and the Winnipeg Police Service has been notified in an effort to keep the disruption to a minimum particularly during rush hour.
