A Winnipeg institution is closing it's doors for good today.
The Wagon Wheel restaurant will serve up it's last clubhouse sandwich before being demolished to make way for the new Longboat Development luxury hotel across from the MTS Centre.
The downtown diner has been serving Winnipeggers for over 60 years. Downtown development group CentureVenture has indicated it would be willing to help the owner find a new location but no plans are in place at this point.
