The Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society is concerned about our parks.
A report released by the group says funding cuts, the loss of science and ecological monitoring capacity and inadequate boundaries are all threats to Canada's parks.
The report says inadequate boundaries are threatening Little Limestone Lake, and service cuts at Riding Mountain National Park places park-goers in increased danger in emergency situations.
The society says there is some good news for Manitoba's parks - the provincial government has committed to creating 15 new parks and protected areas.
