If you live in Northwest Winnipeg, you've likely noticed the murky coloured water coming from your taps. The City says a planned shutdown of the system just after midnight resulted in the temporary discolouration. The regularly scheduled maintenance is essential to maintaining a high quality of drinking water. The city says when it's like that you shouldn't use it in preparing food or beverages, medical and dental procedures, or laundry. The experts say drinking it wouldn't make you sick, but it may not smell, taste or look that great.
