Winnipeg Police believe Kaila Tran was killed in a murder for hire plot arranged by her ex-boyfriend.
26 year old Tran was stabbed to death outside an apartment on Clayton Drive in St. Vital last week. CJOB's Keith McCullough reports two men have now been arrested and charged with first degree murder.
Sara Watson, a friend of Tran's, told CJOB last week she ran into Tran the week before she was killed. Watson says she seemed happy with her relationship.
Members of the WPS Underwater Search and Recovery Unit recovered what police believe was the murder weapon from the Seine River.
