Some Manitoba communities have been placed on notice that they must establish police boards by December 1st. Justice Minister Andrew Swan said Friday municipalities with their own police forces like Brandon, St Anne, Winkler, even Victoria Beach need these boards to improve police governance and enhance accountability. The Province will also appoint some members to the boards.
