There were more revelations on the Ticketgate scandal Wednesday
Manitoba Hydro has two pairs of season tickets for the Winnipeg Jets... but did not keep track of who used them. According to a Freedom of Information request from the Canadian Taxpayer's Federation, Hydro purchased two season tickets in the lower level of MTS Centre for almost 7-thousand dollars.
Hydro plans to have a system in place to keep track next season. And, Finance minister Stan Struthers told Global news the provincial government will do a better job of policing who gets the tickets..
Meantime, Winnipeg Mayor Sam Katz has asked the Clerk’s office to clarify the city's policy on accepting freebies in the wake of the provincial government situation. Katz also wants to make sure there are no "loop holes" in the current policy.
