Two men in their early 20's have been tracked down in a Winnipeg Police traffic pursuit involving Air1. Police spotted a speeding vehicle around 5 Friday morning along Roblin Boulevard near Assiniboine Park. Air1 was called in after the vehicle failed to stop for police. With Air1 in service, ground units deployed two tire deflation devices, but to no avail. The vehicle was tracked to Lee Boulevard and Shore street where it was abandoned. But Air1 managed to direct officers to the suspects who were hiding near some railway tracks. A 23-year old was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and flight from a police officer. No charges were laid against the vehicle's 20-year old passenger.
