There were some tense moments in the Altona area late Tuesday afternoon.
Carman Area RCMP, Altona Police, the Altona Fire Department, and ambulance personnel responded to a chemical gas leak at a business on Highway 30 just north of Altona, in the R-M of Rhineland.
Highway 30 was closed for less than an hour while the gas leak was stopped.
The chemical gas was toxic, but there were no injuries reported and no residences were at risk.
