Legal Aid Ontario is advising those who may have received of a cheque from them in the last few months to be cautious.
Cheques are being sent to those who applied for a Mystery Shopper or Customer Service Evaluator position with the instruction of cashing the cheque, purchasing products and then sending the remainder of cash to an outside address.
Legal Aid Ontario does not endorse or support this innovative and advises you contact them right away if you are a victim of this scam.
