Several people have been taken to hospital with burns to their body in the Danforth and O'Connor area.
The incident happened before 1am this morning on the deck of a home on Monarch Park Avenue.
Police say flames ignited when one of the home owners added a liquid fuel to a candle which splattered over several people.
Four people in all suffered burns, two of them serious.
There was no damage to the house.
