The man accused of opening fire in a brazen daytime shooting, has pleaded not guilty.
Earlier this week, Toronto Police were called to a shooting at a cafe in Little Italy, where one man was found dead, a second found suffering bullet wounds.
35 year old John Raposo was identified as the victim, one the police allege to have been targeted.
On Thursday, a number of officers from multiple divisions and forces swarmed a cab near Parliament & Gerrard, with police arresting both the passenger and the driver.
This morning, the suspect, 26 year old Dean Wiwchar, pleaded not guilty to a charge of first degree murder.
Wiwchar's lawyer says his client is baffled by the charges, has no ties to the victim, and does not match the description given by police.
