Ticats add two players to the PR

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats have added non-import offensive lineman Mike Filer and non-import receiver Bogdan Raic to their practice roster.

Filer, a 6-2, 300-pound native of Brantford was selected by the Calgary Stampeders with the 31st overall pick in this year's CFL Draft after four seasons at Mount Allison.

He was named a AUS All-Star and second-team CIS All-Canadian in 2010.

Raic, a 6-2, 218-pound native of Belgrade, Serbia, caught 25 passes for 497 yards and five touchdowns in six games with Ottawa in 2011.

He took part in training camp with the Saskatchewan Roughriders earlier this year after signing as a free agent in May.

The Ticats have also released import defensive tackle Louis Ellis.

Hamilton next plays this Thursday night in Winnipeg.
