St. Joe's Hospital is taking the next step in its battle against the latest outbreak of C-difficile.
The whole hospital on Charlton Avenue is getting a deep cleaning.
It will take weeks to complete the task with a special cleaner that is five times as strong as what is normally used.
The measure is being taken despite the fact that no new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.
That leaves the number of C-diff cases at St. Joe's at 11.
Hamilton General Hospital has announced one new case of C-diff at its site.
It is not in the surgical trauma unit and there are currently 4 cases at the General.
