Trip to the hospital? There's an app for that!
The Hamilton Health Sciences app for iPhone and iPod touch has been unveiled and is available now through the app store.
VP and Chief Information Officer Mark Farrow says it's designed to enhance the hospital experience for patients and visitors, whether their trip is planned or unexpected.
The app features information about each of HHS's six hospital sites and cancer centre, including parking, services, clinics, coffee & gift shops, maps and the latest news.
Farrow says the app provides quick, easy, at-your-fingertips information and allows users to pinch & zoom and even use GPS-enabled maps with pinpoint location.
Android and BlackBerry apps will likely be released this fall.
