Hamilton police are on the lookout for a pair of street thugs who used a car to chase down their victim.
It happened in the area of Wilson and Ferguson on Wednesday afternoon.
The 48 year old victim managed to fight off the first attack after pushing one of the assailants back towards the car.
As the victim ran off, the suspects came after him in the car.
This time, they both got out and assaulted the man, making off with his wallet and identification.
The victim suffered only minor injuries.
The two suspects are described as Asian and in their early to mid 20s.
