Students are planting tomorrow's urban forests on this Arbor Day in Edmonton.
Six hundred grade one students will be provided with spruce seedlings, and take part in a variety of activities including tree pruning, a nature walk, zip lining and an aerial bucket ride.
The event focuses on the importance of preserving and sustaining Edmonton's urban forests.
Councilor Karen Leibovici will greet and present students with certificates before they take part in the learning activities at Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park. (bu)
