A stroll through any mall will tell you that every child's favorite time is just around the corner, back to school.
For some Edmonton students the bell will ring first thing Monday morning.
The year-round learning program includes the same number of holidays for students; they're just spread out differently than the traditional system.
Lori Nagy, from Edmonton Catholic School's tells 630 CHED News three schools are going back Monday. She also shared why some parents prefer this program, “Some parents are very concerned with what we call the learning gap or a learning loss over a longer summer break.”
Nagy also says this program can be beneficial for families that have difficulties managing childcare over the extended summer break. (tk)
