A major storm system passed through central Alberta, Monday evening.
Severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for much of the central Alberta region, including the area of Edmonton, St. Alberta and Sherwood Park. That warning has since ended.
Severe thunderstorm warnings were also in effect for the areas of Fort Saskatchewan, Vegreville, Redwater, Smoky Lake, Leduc, Camrose, Wetaskiwin, Tofield, Pigeon Lake, Rimbey, Drayton Valley, Devon, Spruce Grove, Morinville, Mayerthorpe and Evansburg.
