A woman in southeast Edmonton was held for a couple of hours by a man with a knife who was making threats to harm her.
The woman's terrifying ordeal during a domestic dispute ended when she found a way to dial 9-11 Thursday Morning. She said there was a man with a knife in her bedroom. The man fled, taking a laptop and a baseball bat with him. The woman told police she'd been held against her will for at least a couple of hours in a home on Mill Woods Road east. The man made threats but did not physically harm her.
Because the man was easy to identify, police rounded up a suspect a couple of hours later. A man in his mid twenties is charged with Assault With a Weapon, Uttering Threats, Forcible Confinement and Theft.
