A pilot and his passenger walked away with bruises after their helicopter crashed in a field late this afternoon north of Red Deer. RCMP Corporal Barry Larocque with Blackfalds detachment said the two seat helicopter was flying when it experienced mechanical issues and came to the ground landing on its left side. The 74 year old pilot and his passenger are from the Red Deer area. They did not require medical attention. The helicopter was privately owned. The Transportation Safety Board is now involved in the investigation.
