Big oil blinked and some gas prices that soared are beginning to fall.
Maybe the outrage of motorists across metro was felt in the offices where gas prices are set but many major brand stations that posted 117.9 yesterday have retreated four cents this morning. Others are staying stubbornly high and you can still find gas for 109.9 a litre in west Edmonton. Calgary gas prices also took off like a speeder on the Henday but they too have seen some rollbacks.
The confusing thing is the latest big jump at the pumps happened when wholesale gas prices were falling and crude oil slipped to just above 79-dollars a barrel for a time yesterday. Regardless, the choice is yours to pay the most or the least for your weekend fill up...so shop around.
