Alberta's Lieutenant Governor, retired Colonel, Donald S. Ethell read Thursday's speech from the throne calling for Alberta to do more to help fire, police, and ambulance workers who develop post traumatic stress disorder.
The speech called for securing Alberta's economic future, and advancing world-leading resource stewardship.
The Wildrose Party is criticizing the speech for not including measures to balance the budget.
The NDP says the speech didn't reach concerns about the environment, the shortage of skilled labour or address problems facing health care workers. (efmb)
