Edmonton police are confirming Wednesday's early morning death is a homicide.
The Medical Examiner found that Daniel Edward Barata, 41, died from a stab wound. He was found dead in the area of 129 avenue and 64 street around 1:00am by police following up on a weapons complaint.
Byron Crane, 28, has been charged with one count of second degree murder. (ks)
