The province is claiming a handful of oil companies owes it 100 million dollars.
The Alberta government has filed a statement of claim to recover the millions in unpaid royalties from a number of oilsands companies.
It's reported that there's a disagreement in how certain royalties, under the framework put in place in 2008 and 2009, are calculated.
The group of companies include Canadian Oil Sands Partnership, Suncor, Imperial and Murphy Oil. (ks)
