Time in running out to get your 2011 tax returns done.
You have until midnight on Monday April 30 to get your 2011 taxes filed, otherwise you’re looking at a penalty of at least 5%.
Paul Morin a registered public accountant with the Padgett Business Services says it's important to take your tax return to a professional if your return is complicated.
He says "If your tax return is complex you got to get somebody that knows what they're doing involved, to help them out cause it'll save them money.
If you are self employed you still have some time as anyone with a sole proprietorship has until June 15 to file away their 2011 taxes.
Over 60% of Canadians who have already filed their tax returns have received a tax refund.
If you've filed late in previous you could see a minimum penalty of 10%. (JSL)
