RCMP in southern Alberta are investigating a case of oil well vandalism.
Sometime since last Friday, an oil well light was destroyed by gunfire. Police say spent ammunition cartridges were found on the ground around the site near Grassy Lake Forks Park, close to Taber.
Although the damage was minor, Mounties say the gunfire had the potential to cause serious injury or environmental damage.
In a separate incident, Taber RCMP say Tuesday evening or early Wednesday morning a water pump house building near the entrance to Chin Lake campground was covered in diesel fuel. Police say three sides of the building, the roof and the ground around the building were soaked in fuel.
If you have any information about these two incidents, call RCMP or Crime Stoppers. (ks)
