A report compiled by the city, to submit to the federal electoral boundary review commission, spells out what Edmonton thinks the 2015 election should look like.
Out of 34 seats in Alberta, ten should be in the capital region, and Mayor Stephen Mandel says seven of those should be inside city limits.
"The boundaries, from our point of view, we want, and I think it has to be, that the seats are within the City of Edmonton," Mandel says. "Whatever number we get, and we believe there should be seven, given the population, and three in the region."
"We need to be very adamant about that."
The city will present to the commission its request this summer. (sj/gb)
