A huge avalanche has rolled over a group of snowmobilers near Revelstoke, B-C, killing one person and possibly burying a number of others. R-C-M-P say they'll be back searching the site tomorrow in the area of Eagle Pass Mountain to look for anyone who may be under the snow. Corporal Dan Moskaluk says they've learned there were two snowmobilers on a hillside when the slide happened, with a group or groups of people gathered at the bottom of the hill. While Moskaluk couldn't confirm there were people buried under the snow, he said they'll continue the search Saturday with the assumption that more people have been buried. Moskaluk says this latest slide was a category four avalanche, capable of mowing down buildings.
The latest slide happened not far from an avalanche on Boulder Mountain last weekend where two Alberta men were killed and 31 others were hurt. The slide sparked a massive search, but police were able to account for everyone.

Sentencing has been delayed for Jonathan Hope and Lisa Guerin, the Calgary parents found guilty of failing to provide the necessities of life for their 16 month old daughter Summer.
She died in 2006 after accidentally swallowing her father's methadone.
Hope's lawyer made an application Friday to have his client's psychological testing completed first.
It wasn't finished during the trial because Hope was deemed to be too distraught and confused.
The judge will take until next Thursday to consider the request.
If he approves the application, Guerin's lawyer will ask for bail at that time.
If the application is denied, both Hope and Guerin will be sentenced next Thursday.

Three men in their early 20's face more than 40 charges in connection with a series of rural break and enters around Calgary.
Since October, more than 50 homes have been ransacked near Okotoks, Cochrane and Turner Valley.
"We started to see a pattern," said RCMP Sergeant Patrick Webb. "They were going into houses between 9am and 3pm, kicking in doors, and caused very significant destruction."
Property loss and damage is estimated at close to $1 million, including the theft of $400,000 worth of vehicles.
Webb says all the vehicles were eventually recovered but some were heavily damaged.
He adds homes with alarm systems weren't victimized because the suspects needed time to ransack the home.
