Several sexual assaults overnight have kept Calgary Police's Sex Crime Unit busy.
The first attack occurred just before 2 a.m. in the City's South East.
Duty Inspector Paul Malchow says the victim, a 26 year old female was walking from her work in the downtown area along a pathway that parallels Blackfoot Trail near Deerfoot Trail SE when a lone male approached and forcefully sexually assaulted her.
The suspect fled after the attack.
Calgary Police consider this a bona fide and random stranger sexual assault.
The suspect is described as a white male, either bald or with very short hair with a skinny build wearing a grey shirt and dark pants.
Malchow says police were called to a reported second attack just before 7 a.m. at the 3300 block of Rideau Place.
Few details are available.
Members of teh Sex Crimes Unit are investigating both reported assaults.
