A 34-year-old man is clinging to life in hospital after his pick-up truck struck a concrete barrier on the exit ramp from eastbound 17 Ave. to Deerfoot Trail SE just before the noon hour Thursday. A 24-year-old man also in the truck was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The Calgary Police traffic section is still investigating the cause of the crash, but neither alcohol nor speed are believed to be factors.
