City police are looking for a group which has been stealing PIN pads from several Subway restaurants around the city.
One of the group of two or three men and one woman will distract the clerk by ordering food. While the clerk is preparing the food order, the other offenders switch one PIN pad with another which has been compromised. The thefts all occurred between April 20 and May 10.
It's believed this group is part of a larger theft/fraud ring. This switching technique is commonly used by criminals to get ahold of the credit and debit card information of previous customers.
