The leader of the federal NDP will soon be making a trip to Alberta. This comes as Tom Mulcair remains at the centre of controversial comments about the oilsands and the western premiers. Alberta New Democrat Leader Brian Mason says Mulcair will fly into Edmonton May 30th for meetings, but isn't sure what stops Mulcair will make on his visit. Premier Alison Redford was angered by the comments made by Mulcair in recent weeks, and says she will not meed with him until he sees the oilsands first hand. Mulcair has said that the oilsands are resposible for Canada's high dollar, which, in turn, is responsible for the slowdown in the manufacturing sector.
