Now that Premier Alison Redford's has won a majority government, and has her cabinet in place, there's a call for her to pick up where she left off in a review of red tape for small business. Redford created a taskforce last fall to look at streamlining the rules and regulations for small businesses in Alberta. That taskforce was to report at the end of March, but the process ground to a halt when the writ was dropped. Richard Truscott , Alberta Director of the Canadian Federation of Independent Business hopes Redford will move quickly on this.Turscott says Alberta , which was once the best province in the country to own and operate a small business has slipped in the past few years, allowing other province's to catch up.
