Elections in Europe spook the markets

Elections in France and Greece have given traders the jitters overseas. Asian stock markets lost over 2.5% today over concerns about whether Europe can tackle its massive debt crisis.

The concern arose after French socialist Francois Holland defeated President Nikolas Sarkozy.  Holland campaigned for less austerity.  Meantime, yesterday's election in Greece say the two-party ruling coaltion lose its majority.  Now it appears no party will be able to form a government.
