Air Canada and its pilots are going to try to give negotiations one last try. The two sides say they've agreed to return to the bargaining table for 10 days to try to reach a tentative deal. They'll have the assistance of a federal arbitrator and if no deal can be reached then an arbitrator will impose a contract. The federal government passed legislation last week imposing a contract and blocking either side from initiating job action. The move didn't sit well with pilots, who called in sick, creating headaches for travellers after dozens of cancelled flights.
