Do Provincial Government workers deserve a raise?

Do provincial government workers in this province deserve a pay raise?   And remember, you are paying for it with your taxes.
I ask the question in the wake of the strike vote by the BCGEU -82 per-cent in favor.  President Darryl Walker says there are no immediate plans for job action, but the strike vote strengthens the union’s hand at the bargaining table.   And the union is bargaining with a BC Liberal Government that is badly wounded in the polls…..maybe even terminally wounded if the current polls are accurate.

I like Darryl Walker.   He is consistently available to talk to you the listener, whether he faces easy softball questions are hardball difficult ones.   I also respect his membership – they’ve come off 3 years of zeros and in recent years they haven’t displayed the utter greed and stupidity the BC Teachers Federation is doing right now.   The GEU membership has ...



Why Christy Clark and John Cummnis have to go, now!

The numbers don’t lie.   They didn’t lie after the by-elections last month, and they don’t lie in today’s Angus Reid poll.  The question is – do Christy Clark and John Cummins have it in them to do the right thing and quit now or are they so greedy for power that they are sentencing British Columbia to at least 4 years under Adrian Dix and the NDP?

Today’s survey has the NDP sitting at 50 per-cent support…up 7 points from March and the biggest gain since Dix has been leader.  The B-C Liberals under Christy Clark were steady at 23 per-cent, and the B-C Conservatives under John Cummins dropped 4 points to 19 per-cent.

The question is simple for Christy Clark and her B-C Liberals.  The question is simple for John Cummins and the B-C Conservatives.   And the same question is just as simple for Adrian Dix and the NDP ...
