The Prime Minister spoke in Vancouver at a party fundraiser Thursday night after a trip to Seattle.
Justin Trudeau asked Canadians to support his party with some of the attention on his rivals.
He pushed for more volunteers and donations as the federal Conservatives are about to select a new leader, and the NDP prepare for a leadership race.
He says there are a lot of things Ottawa needs to do for Metro Vancouver, including housing affordability.
“As part of our 2017 budget, we laid the groundwork for a national housing strategy because every Canadian deserves a place to call home that is safe, secure and affordable.”

He says the opioid crisis should also be front and centre.
“We can and must do more to help our most vulnerable and more to support the families and communities that love them.”
Ticket prices for the fundraiser ranged from $125 to $750.
Trudeau will also be holding events in Surrey and Abbotsford on Friday.
