Three people are in hospital, one in critical condition, after two car crashes in Surrey Wednesday night.
Surrey RCMP say one person has been detained.
Mounties say they were called to the scene of a serious crash on 64th Ave. at 176th St., though the caller advised that was the second of two accidents.
They said the first was on 64th at 168th, which the driver of a black Cadillac failed to stop at.
The caller said that vehicle then rear-ended a second vehicle on 64th at 176th.
All three people hurt were in the second vehicle.
Dramatic photos from the scene showed the roof of that vehicle sheared off by emergency crews.
The driver of the Cadillac, a 22-year-old Surrey woman, is in custody.
Officers say speed, alcohol or drugs have not been ruled out.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call Surrey RCMP.
