Two weeks ago 21-year-old Louis Gonick disappeared. His mother tearfully appealed for his safe return on Thursday, begging anyone with information to come forward.
“Life has no meaning without you in it,” Lupe Carrera said in Spanish. “We are waiting for you with our arms wide open, please come back.”
RCMP say they are continuing their investigation into his disappearance.

Staff Sergeant Annie Linteau says Gonick was dropped off near the Stanley Park Causeway on the night of April 16, specifically asking his taxi driver for a location near the Lions Gate bridge.
“Since then an extensive search, a land and sea search, has been conducted with the assistance of the RCMP’s West Coast Marine Services, the joint coordination centre, the coast guard (and) the Vancouver Police Marine Unit.”
Linteau says anyone with information about Gonick should contact police, adding his disappearance is “very out of character.”
