It looks like there are more issues for one of the Wilson family’s brands.
In a Facebook statement, Chip Wilson, who also founded Vancouver retail giant Lululemon, says their brand Kit and Ace is planning to simplify its business plans and operations.
They plan to lay off office staff, and will also be closing all showrooms in the U.S., Australia, and the U.K., leaving only their brick-and-mortar stores here in Canada.
In his statement, Wilson says those cut by the layoffs will be missed.
“I am deeply grateful for the creativity and commitment of those leaving the company and thank them for their contribution.”
Wilson says the brand’s focus will shift to those Canadian showrooms, as well as an expanded e-commerce platform.
